Over the years, Melbourne Renegades have nurtured quite a few talented young cricketers. One such player who is touted as the future of Australian cricket is Mitchell Perry. Having risen through the age-group cricket in Victoria, Perry made his first-class debut for Victoria during the 2020-21 Sheffield Shield competition and earned his maiden List-A cap the previous season. A right-arm medium-pace bowler, Perry has the ability to generate extra zip off the surface, which is quite useful when you are playing in Australia. Apart from Victoria, Perry has also been a part of the Melbourne Renegades squad since the 2020-21 campaign. (As of November 2021)
